CHILDCARE (DEN) SUPERVISOR

About the role

The Den Supervisor plays a pivotal role in supporting the Den Manager with the day-to-day running of the Den and deputises in the Manager's absence. This is a permanent position, 24 hours per week, with a competitive rate of pay per hour plus generous service charge.

Key Responsibilities

• Run 2 supervised childcare sessions per day: for babies from 3 months up to 8 year old children in your care, providing fun, stimulating, interactive and safe play and activities, tailored to children’s age and interests.
• Help develop and deliver an exciting family activity programme: you will help design, prepare, organise and deliver a fun and creative activity programme for families.
• Support the Den Manager to lead, train and inspire a team of childcare professionals who love being with children and can connect with parents, helping create a welcoming atmosphere, resolve any issues quickly and give confidence in the quality of our childcare.

Requirements

• Previous experience working within a childcare setting, with experience working with babies to primary school age children
• Minimum of 2 years managerial experience in childcare or similar related setting
• Accredited childcare/playwork qualification Level 2 is essential
• Creativity and passion for childcare is essential
• Experience working with Ofsted is desirable but not essential
• Paediatric First aid qualification is desirable but not essential
