Childcare Center Director
All Around Children is a family-owned leader in early childhood education since 2008, operating eight state-of-the-art learning centers throughout NE Ohio. About the role
Our ideal candidate is a strong leader energized by coaching teachers, developing staff, and building a program that families trust. At AAC, many administrative and operational functions are managed at the organizational level so directors can focus on instructional leadership, staff development, and educational/care outcomes. Every center is led by a director and assistant director in partnership, with profit sharing extended to both, and directors have real-time visibility into their center's financial performance. Directors are empowered to shape programs that reflect the communities they serve.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage all aspects of center operations, including staff, curriculum, enrollment, and tuition, including CACFP food paperwork and reports
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to childcare centers
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff
- Create and maintain positive relationships with families and the community
- Collaborate with community organizations and agencies to enhance the center's impact and reach
- Lead staff meetings and provide ongoing training and support to teachers and support staff
- Collaborate with other members of the leadership team to develop and implement strategic plans for the center
- Monitor and document student progress, assess teaching strategies, and implement changes as needed
- Implement best practices in early childhood education, including curriculum development, assessment, and staff training and development
Requirements
- Must hold a CDA (minimum); AA or higher degree in early childhood education or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role in a childcare center
- Career Pathways Level (CPL) 3 certification
- Prior Childcare Director/Assistant Director experience necessary
- Knowledge of Step Up to Quality (SUTQ)
- Knowledge of ODJFS licensing rules
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development and education theory and practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with families and staff
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Ability to manage a budget and ensure financial accountability
- Working knowledge of MS Office and Excel
- Knowledge of ProCare is a plus
- Tdap and MMR Vaccination

Pay
Salary Range: $55,000 - $75,000 per year
