Responsibilities

  • Supervise children of various ages and needs in the Kids' Life Center, including playing games, reading stories, leading arts and crafts, monitoring age-appropriate TV programs and videos, and assisting with bathroom activities.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment for children and provide appropriate member service and interaction.
  • Follow through with daily operations, policies, and procedures, including:
    • Registering all children as they enter and exit the KLC
    • Monitoring children’s health and adjusting activities accordingly
    • Following proper opening/closing procedures
    • Following emergency procedures, including basic first aid and incident reports
    • Assisting with equipment and supply inventory and purchase recommendations
  • Perform daily operations such as checking children in and out, collecting money, opening/closing procedures, and following emergency procedures.
  • Exhibit a professional image and behavior toward members, visitors, clients, and all TriHealth employees.
  • Demonstrate dependability in attendance, punctuality, and timely performance of duties.
  • Show flexibility and initiative in accepting additional assignments.
  • Communicate effectively with appropriate written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of KLC programs and staff a variety of daily and special event programs such as craft time, sing-a-long, birthday parties, PNO, Spring Safari, and Freaky Friday.
  • Actively supervise and interact with children in all areas of the KLC, including the junior gym, activity room, and nursery.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of high school education (required)
  • High school diploma or GED (preferred)
  • At least 1 year of childcare or recreational paid work-related experience (e.g., childcare, teaching). In lieu of paid experience, qualified students through the TriHealth Student Assistant Program may be considered.
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire required
