Childcare Assistant Teacher/Floater

About the role

Cornerstone Learning Center is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant Teachers & Floaters for the following age groups: Infants, Toddlers, Two's, Pre‑K.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass all background checks
• Previous childcare experience is a plus

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 9 am – 6 pm

Pay

$13.00 – $15.00 per hour, based on education and experience

Hiring Process

• Resume screen
• Phone screen with recruiter (30 minutes)
• On‑site interview with Center Director (30–60 minutes) – Q&A and classroom observation

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the classroom in alignment with the center’s philosophy and goals
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development
• Take initiative, accept constructive criticism and feedback, and make improvements as needed
• Create and maintain a clean and safe environment for all children
• Establish a professional rapport with each family to provide quality care
• Physical ability to work around small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lb and fulfill all physical requirements of the role
