Childcare Assistant Teacher/Floater

About the role

Mill Creek Country Day School is a licensed childcare center seeking Floaters. We are a family‑oriented, close‑knit organization offering a fun and professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism and feedback, and make improvements as necessary for the betterment of the program.
• Create and maintain a clean and safe environment for all children.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass all background checks.
• Previous childcare experience.

Skills

• Positive attitude and love for working with children.
• Ability to take direction and incorporate feedback.
• Physical stamina for sitting, standing, walking, running, climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

Pay

$14–$15 per hour, based on education and experience.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
