Child Watch Associate (Part-Time)

About the role

The Tri-Community Family Branch YMCA is seeking a Child Watch Associate to supervise children aged 3 months to 12 years and manage daily activities under the supervision of the Director of Youth & Family Services.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a group of children and organize activities for children from 3 months old to 12 years old.
• Follow all policies, procedures, and standards set by the YMCA, including safety and emergency procedures, behavior guidance strategies, and child abuse prevention policies.
• Communicate in a tactful and courteous manner with parents, YMCA members, and fellow staff members.
• Project a professional image through neat appearance, positive demeanor, and reliable attendance.
• Attend and participate in program activities and staff meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Previous experience working with children is preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Previous experience with diverse populations is preferred.
