About the role
Join a tight-knit, collaborative team of one child psychiatrist located on-site, with four additional child psychiatrists available at a neighboring site, as well as a therapist, a care coordinator, and MA support. The clinic is open Monday through Friday, with an average volume of 10-12 patients per day.
This role offers mentorship opportunities with Child/Adolescent Fellows and Psychiatry Residents. Visit types include initial evaluations, medication consultation/management, and limited therapy.
Call responsibilities are minimal, consisting of infrequent backup coverage for an adjacent inpatient psychiatry unit where residents and fellows serve as the primary first-call providers.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial evaluations, medication consultations, and management for child and adolescent patients
- Provide limited therapy services
- Serve as infrequent backup call coverage for an adjacent inpatient psychiatry unit
- Mentor Child/Adolescent Fellows and Psychiatry Residents
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (new graduates encouraged to apply)
- Open to experienced PMHNPs
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Completion of a Child/Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship
