Child Nutrition Assistant Manager - Elementary

About the role

Responsible for assisting the cafeteria manager in the supervision, training and management of the campus food service operation. Help manager ensure that appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served. Meet time constraints set by the school menu requirements established by the Child Nutrition Office, which are required by TDA Regulations; and must meet health codes promulgated by city and state agencies.

Qualifications

• Education/Certification: High School Diploma or GED; Food Handlers Certification; Complete the ServSafe Manager Certification or Texas Food Safety Manager Certification during the first year as an assistant manager.
• Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of methods, materials, equipment, and appliances used in food preparation; Ability to manage personnel and organize personnel schedule; Must have effective planning and organizational skills; Ability to follow directions well.
• Experience: Must have at least three years' experience in institutional food service operations; Must be able to operate a computer and have knowledge of cashiering.

Pay

Salary range: $21,694.00 to $25,524.00 per year.
