CHILD LIFE SPECIALIST (PART TIME DAYS) PEDIATRICS

About the role

This position is available at multiple Valley Health locations. The primary focus is to provide emotional support and play therapy to pediatric patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Engage with children and families to assess emotional needs and develop therapeutic plans.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure that play therapy sessions align with treatment goals.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate therapeutic activities.
• Document progress and communicate with families and healthcare providers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Psychology, or related field.
• Experience working with children and families in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Pass a background check.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of child development theories.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping.

Pay
