About the role
The Child Life Specialist will provide emotional support and promote healing through play, education, and creative activities for children and families undergoing medical procedures at our Transitional Care Center and Surgical Care units.
Responsibilities
- Provide child life services to patients and families in a compassionate and developmentally appropriate manner.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement therapeutic programs.
- Facilitate family-centered care and support.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
- Experience working with children and families in healthcare settings.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- Child Life Certification preferred.
- Knowledge of developmental psychology and child development stages.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience.
