Child Interventionist/ RBT- Part Time

About the role

Butterfly Effects' mission is to make a socially meaningful change in the lives of children and families by hiring passionate, caring people to serve children and families affected by autism. We are looking for passionate ABA Registered Behavior Technicians to teach young children affected by autism in their natural environment (most often their home, but also in schools and our centers). This role involves making sessions fun by teaching through play-based activities, helping children learn to communicate, share, play, wait, and develop other essential skills.

Butterfly Effects offers training to all staff to ensure confidence in instructing children affected by autism. The ideal candidate is outgoing, energetic, and friendly.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with children and families in their natural environment (home, school, or center)
• Teach essential skills such as communication, sharing, and play through fun, play-based activities
• Maintain a positive and energetic attitude while working with children and families

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is a plus
• At least 3 weekdays with consistent availability
• Love and passion for working with children
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
• Web-enabled device (laptop or tablet)
• Positive attitude and strong people skills

Physical demands

• Ability to lift or move approximately 50 lbs.
• Ability to assume and maintain various postures (kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing) for extended periods

Pay

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience, education, and certifications.
