Wraparound serves clients in both SPA 4 and SPA 6 as assigned: SPA 4 Office: 1200 Wilshire Blvd, Los AngelesSPA 6 Office: 3680 E Imperial Highway, Lynwood

Schedule

Monday-Friday, plus on-call crisis response as scheduled Work from home, office/community weeklyTelehealth and in-person appointmentsTravel out to meet with clients and community partners as neededWraparound provides in-person crisis response as appropriate and is available to clients during clinic hours as scheduledBe part of the on-call rotation for crisis coverage based on schedule

About Wraparound

Wraparound is part of Amanecer. We offer child-focused, family-centered mental health services based on strength and needs. There are 10 principals to our program: Family Voice and Choice, Team Based, Natural Supports, Collaboration, Community Based, Culturally Competent, Individualized Strength based, Persistence, and Outcome Based. Our team works with our Parent Partner, Child and Family Specialist, and Facilitator creating goals. Together we create strategies to support families and track progress.

How will you make an impact?

As the Child and Family Specialist, you will provide direct services to children and families as identified in an individualized treatment plan and will work as a member of a child and family team. You will get to work with children and their families in their home/out-of-home placements and their respective communities. Assist in the ongoing development and evaluation of the child and family plan of care. Engage with families, in accordance with individualized child and family plans, providing concrete services to assist the child and family with their tasks of daily living. Concrete services include, but are not limited to, providing educational support, transportation, parenting assistance, home management assistance, recreational activities, and behavior management. Provide advocacy and support to individual family members and the family. Promote family-centered practice strategies including family decision-making. Assist in providing crisis management to families and children when plans disrupt and onsite consultation to others involved in plans. Provide transportation for clients for linkage services, or other pre-approved outings, as needed. Comply with HIPAA requirement for privacy and access of records. Demonstrate cultural sensitivity to each client/family and individual needs and customs as appropriate. Actively participate and attend in-service presentations, mandatory meetings, and trainings as scheduled. Other duties as assigned by supervisor to meet programmatic, departmental and agency needs.

Minimum Qualifications and Competencies

  • Education / Background: BA/BS Degree in social services or related field highly preferred, but equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered to meet qualifications for this position.
  • 1-3 years of experience working directly with seriously disturbed children, adolescents, and families.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish speaking required.
  • Wraparound requires driving on behalf of the company, candidates must hold a valid driver’s license, meet the company’s motor vehicle record (MVR) standards, meets company’s insurance eligibility, and comply with all state and federal driving requirements.
  • Experience working with multiethnic/racial clients and communities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team atmosphere.
  • Proficiency at computer required.
