$18.11 - $19.74 per hour / $3,139 - $3,421 per month (CSEA General Unit Salary Schedule)

Schedule

• Part-time, 4-hour work day (1:00 PM - 5:00 PM)
• Monday - Friday
• Calendar 20: 9 months/year, 202 days/year, 5 days/week

About the Role

Entry-level Child Development Assistant position working with Discovery Club, a school-age program for children ages 5-12.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience and/or education for the position (must be documented in application)
• Preferred (not required):
  • Associate Teacher Permit (ATP) from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC)
  • College units in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
  • Completion of 6 ECE units
  • Previous experience working with school-age children ages 5-12
• If providing transcripts:
  • Must be OFFICIAL transcripts
  • Foreign transcripts must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency

Requirements

• Completed application listing relevant experience, education, and/or training
• Desirable additional documentation:
  • Proof of ATP from the CTC
  • Proof of higher education
  • Proof of completion of 6 ECE units
