Child Development Assistant - PM (Part-time)

About the role

This position is for an Assistant Preschool Teacher within the district. The role involves supporting preschool educational activities and working with young children.

Schedule

• 3.8 hours per day, from 12:12 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• 184 days per work year

Pay

• $19.08 - $23.22 per hour
• 5 step increments per contract; highest placement with experience is step 3

Education Requirements

• Minimum of 6 ECE Units Required

Qualifications

• Assistant Preschool Teacher or Preschool Teacher California Credentialing Teacher Permit preferred

Application and Hiring Process

• Lateral transfer posting first 3 days (12/22/2025 - 12/29/2025)
• Promotional/qualified internal applicants considered after no lateral interest - 5 days (12/22/2025 - 1/2/2026)
• Outside applicants considered after all qualified in-district applicants are interviewed
• District/end of month paid employees (excludes timesheet and probationary status) should apply during the first 5 days of the 10 day posting period
• Probationary employees will be considered with external applicants
