Child Conduct - Safety Worker - Kent City SD

This is a part-time position operating during school hours, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the cafeteria during lunch services.
• Monitor and control noise levels from students in the cafeteria.
• Monitor and control student behavior during lunch services; refer students to appropriate personnel if disciplinary action is needed.
• Assist students with opening containers or packages they may be unable to open themselves.
• Wipe down tables and supervise or help students clean up their individual areas.
• Sweep up floor areas that may have debris.
• Monitor floors for spills and clean up immediately to prevent falls.
• Attend in-service meetings as scheduled by the Lead.
• Promote good public relations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to meet commitments; job duties may change without formal notice.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children in settings such as education, volunteer, or employment.
• Ability to work outside during all seasons (winter, spring, summer, and fall).
• Physical demands may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing.
• May require wearing uniforms and/or using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $14.00.
