Child Care Employee

About This Role

Maintain a safe play environment.
Observe and monitor children's play activities.
Communicate with children's parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues.
Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.

What You'll Do

• Provides care and instruction to promote academic and social/emotion growth
• Makes sure children are safe inside and outside of the classroom
• Aids in cleaning up and doing other related tasks after daily activities
• Prepares the classroom for activities, including creating lessons and preparing materials
• Creates bulletin boards, maintains materials and supplies, contacts parents, and makes copies
• Attends in-service training sessions
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level
• Fulfills all AZDHS licensing regulations

Requirements

• Must have all qualifications prior to entry: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.)
• Level 1 IVP Fingerprint card must be obtained after hire
• Must have a First Aid/CPR Food Handlers Card
• Physical requirements include stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing
• Positions may be subjected to blood and other body fluids
• Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects

Nice To Haves
