Child Care Center Director

About the role

Early Learning Company encompasses two childcare brands, Huntey's Clubhouse, and Gro Childcare Academy. Huntey's Clubhouse was established in 1995 and has grown from in-home childcare to eight childcare centers. Quality childcare was at the heart of our business in the beginning and remains our number one focus today. We are in search of a Center Director at our Huntey's Clubhouse Big Rapids location. Our mission is to provide a warm and nurturing environment where children thrive and families feel supported. We offer activities that are specifically designed to encourage each child's growth. Through cooperative play and creative activities, kids reach their social, emotional and physical milestones naturally and with ease. Responsibilities

• Promotes the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children under his/her care and works with the staff to create a safe, learning environment while keeping parents informed of the progress of their child
• Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules, and directs 20+ personnel
• Manages staff and curates a positive atmosphere within the center. Reviews and evaluates staff performance as well as develops strategies to achieve goals and promote their professional development
• Administers day-to-day operations, including being available to address parents, child, and staff issues
• Operates within allotted monthly budget, purchasing materials, equipment and supplies
• Works closely with other centers' Directors and Regional Director to discuss best practices, monthly meal planning, and more
• Schedules and conducts tours in a friendly, helpful manner
• Onboards new families professionally and efficiently, collecting and completing enrollment paperwork
• Assures compliance with state and local regulations related to program areas; continually reviews MI state program standards and makes sure all safety procedures are followed
• Completes ongoing training and courses to remain up to date on daycare standards and procedures
• Provides for the upkeep of childcare center and equipment, keeping it clean, tidy and safe. Submits workorders when necessary
• Develops and maintains relationships with state childcare licensing agencies, parent groups, and other organizations related to the program
• Responds to all agency, parent, and community inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally
• Maintains proper records and files
• Takes part in communication through private parent/caregiver social media page, marketing endeavors and has a presence at company-wide events
• Ensures high-quality standards of the brand
• This position does require use of iPad, Procare App, Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Associate's Degree minimum (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• Early childhood education experience
• Supervision experience
• Licensure is required
• CPR Certification (preferred)
• Knowledge of and the ability to stay abreast and comply with local, state, and federal laws governing child care centers
• Strong administration skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
• Friendly and approachable demeanor
• Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times

Pay

Base salary plus bonus potential up to 25% of annual salary, paid out twice a year. Salary Range: $40,000 - $50,000/year.
