About the Role
Provide outpatient therapy to children, adults, and families to improve their quality of life. This position is supervised by a Program Supervisor and includes a $2,500 retention bonus paid after six months of employment, provided the employee remains in good standing.
This is a community-based role, with 20 or more hours of a 40-hour work week spent in non-designated NorthCare offices (e.g., client homes, community venues, or via telehealth). Community-based staff are expected to travel to appointments, maintain "business purposes" on their auto insurance, and may be eligible for a phone and hotspot stipend. They are considered essential workers and may be required to work holidays, weekends, or during closures.
Responsibilities
- Provide integrated, recovery-focused, strengths-based, culturally competent, client-centered, trauma-informed, and co-occurring capable services addressing behavioral healthcare, physical healthcare, and social needs.
- Promote a warm and engaging organizational culture aligned with NorthCare values, trauma-informed care, and health and wellness.
- Carry a differentiated caseload involving highly complex cases requiring intensive clinical service and extensive professional diagnostic and treatment experience.
- Provide individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and care coordination using evidence-based practices.
- Consult with other program staff within and outside the agency to facilitate referrals.
- Perform intake interviews and initial assessments, gathering information about clients' symptoms, behavior, functioning, history, needs, goals, and preferences.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support health behavior change in persons with behavioral health challenges.
- Collaborate with clients, their families, support systems, and community partners to assist in achieving treatment goals.
- Provide crisis management services, including assessment of lethality, support systems, and appropriate interventions (e.g., hospitalization). Seek consultation with supervisors in crisis situations.
- Obtain and maintain required credentialing, including licensure or supervision status and Alcohol and Other Drugs Treatment Practitioner (AODTP) status.
- Participate in staff consultations for case presentation, diagnostic, and treatment planning.
- Support the monitoring and tracking of outcome measures for clients.
- Maintain clinical records in a timely manner, adhering to agency policy, funding sources, and accreditation requirements.
- Complete all required forms and documentation consistently.
- Maintain professional competency through readings, workshops, and trainings, and comply with certification requirements.
- Demonstrate knowledge of NorthCare's electronic record system, CCBHC requirements, ODMHSAS Services manual, contract requirements, National Outcome Measures (NOMS), and Medicaid rules and regulations.
- Respond promptly to phone calls, text pages, and emails.
- Maintain consistent work attendance and notify supervisors of late arrivals or absences.
- Complete all NorthCare-required courses and training, and comply with agency policies and procedures, including documentation deadlines and productivity expectations.
- Perform any other reasonable work requested that falls within the qualifications.
Requirements
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (oral and written) is required.
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related human services field.
- Licensure in Oklahoma in one of the mental health disciplines (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LADC-MH, LBP) or under Board-approved supervision for licensure. If licensed, must complete continuing education requirements for licensure maintenance.
- High degree of flexibility and efficiency, with proficiency in MS Word and intermediate general computer skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to move about facilities freely and adhere to a casual professional dress code.
- Access to reliable transportation, a valid Oklahoma driver’s license, and verification of current automobile liability insurance (including uninsured motorist coverage).
- Must possess or obtain CPR, First Aid, and Therapeutic Options certifications within 30 days of employment.
- Must complete Co-Occurring Training and Trauma-Informed Training within 60 days of employment.
- Must have a TB test within 12 months prior to employment or obtain one within 30 days of employment.
