Child and Family Outpatient Therapist-Office Based (69719)

Retention Bonus: $2,500 retention bonus paid at the completion of six months of employment, provided the employee remains in good standing.

About the Role

This position is supervised by a Program Supervisor and provides outpatient therapy to children, adults, and families to improve their quality of life. The role involves carrying a differentiated caseload of highly complex cases requiring intensive clinical service and extensive professional diagnostic and treatment experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide integrated services that are welcoming, engaging, and accessible, addressing behavioral healthcare, physical healthcare, and social needs with a focus on recovery, strengths, cultural competence, client-centered care, trauma-informed practices, and co-occurring capabilities.
• Promote a warm and engaging organizational culture aligned with NorthCare values, trauma-informed care, and health and wellness.
• Deliver individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and care coordination using evidence-based practices.
• Consult with other program staff within and outside the agency to facilitate referrals.
• Perform intake interviews and initial assessments, gathering information about clients' symptoms, behavior, functioning, history, needs, goals, and preferences.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support health behavior change in persons with behavioral health challenges.
• Interact and collaborate professionally with clients, their families, support systems, and community partners to assist in achieving treatment goals.
• Provide crisis management services, including assessment of lethality, support systems, and appropriate interventions such as hospitalization. Complete required assessment tools and seek consultation with supervisors in crisis situations.
• Obtain and maintain required credentialing, including licensure or supervised status and Alcohol and Other Drugs Treatment Practitioner (AODTP) status.
• Maintain competency in instruments required by agency payors or commonly used by mental health/substance use professionals.
• Participate in staff consultations for case presentation, diagnostic, and treatment planning.
• Attend mandatory program meetings and support the monitoring and tracking of client outcome measures.
• Maintain clinical records in a timely manner, adhering to agency policy, funding sources, and accreditation requirements.
• Complete all required forms and maintain professional competency through readings, workshops, and trainings.
• Comply with all requirements to maintain professional certification(s).
• Demonstrate knowledge of NorthCare's electronic record system, CCBHC requirements, ODMHSAS Services manual, contract requirements, benchmarks, National Outcome Measures (NOMS), and Medicaid rules and regulations.
• Respond promptly to phone calls, text pages, and emails.
• Maintain consistent work attendance and communicate with supervisors regarding late arrivals or absences.
• Complete all NorthCare-required courses and training, and comply with agency policies and procedures, including documentation deadlines and productivity expectations.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related human services field.
• Licensure in the State of Oklahoma in one of the mental health disciplines (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LADC-MH, LBP) or under Board-approved supervision for licensure. If licensed, must complete continuing education requirements for licensure maintenance.
• This position is community-based, requiring 20 or more hours of a 40-hour work week or over 50% of the designated work week in non-designated NorthCare offices (e.g., client homes, community venues, via telehealth).
• Must demonstrate critical thinking skills for appropriate staffing of situations and have access to reliable transportation with "business purposes" added to auto insurance.
• Eligible for a phone and hotspot stipend; must have access to an internet hotspot for fieldwork.
• Considered essential workers and may be expected to work holidays, weekends, or during closures if required.
• High degree of flexibility and efficiency, with proficiency in MS Word and intermediate general computer skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English.
• Must be able to move about facilities freely and adhere to a casual professional dress code.
• Valid Oklahoma driver’s license and verification of current automobile liability insurance, including uninsured motorist coverage.
• Must possess or obtain CPR, First Aid, and Therapeutic Options certifications within 30 days of employment.
• Must complete Co-Occurring Training and Trauma-Informed Training within 60 days of employment.
• Must have a TB test within 12 months prior to employment or obtain one within 30 days of employment.
