Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist - Locum Tenens

About the Role

This inpatient psychiatric role involves providing child and adolescent psychiatric care in a structured facility with support from Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), Residents, and Fellows.

Responsibilities

• Cover inpatient units on a 7-on/7-off schedule.
• Manage a patient census of approximately 10–15 children per clinician, including routine follow-ups, admissions, and discharges.
• Deliver inpatient psychiatric assessments, stabilization, and treatment.
• Respond to call within 20 minutes.
• Work on-site with shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Handle inpatient psychiatric conditions with variable length of stay.

Requirements

• Must hold a Wisconsin medical license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) and have prescriptive authority.
• Experience working with pediatric populations in inpatient settings is preferred.
• Full-time hours (40/week) required; telepsychiatry is not permitted.
