About the role
This role is for a senior technical executive who will guide the long-term strategy and advancement of next-generation radar and antenna technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and drive long-range technical strategies and technology roadmaps for advanced radar, antenna, and sensor capabilities.
- Provide senior-level technical leadership across major radar development efforts and emerging technology initiatives.
- Identify future technology needs and help prioritize R&D investments based on customer requirements, market direction, and business objectives.
- Guide advanced radar and antenna technologies through development, maturation, integration, and transition into deployable capabilities.
- Influence product and technology strategy across the full lifecycle of complex radar and sensor systems.
- Partner with senior engineering and business leaders on critical technical decisions, development priorities, and strategic investments.
- Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise in support of major customer pursuits and future surveillance programs.
- Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with defense customers, government organizations, technology partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Represent the organization as a recognized technical authority within the radar, antenna, and surveillance technology community.
- Mentor senior engineers and technical leaders while helping develop the organization's next generation of technical talent.
- Promote innovation and collaboration across engineering, technology, program, and business organizations.
Qualifications
- Active U.S. DoD Top Secret security clearance is required for consideration.
- Masters degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Approximately 20+ years of progressive experience in advanced technology, engineering, and/or technical leadership.
- Demonstrated success leading significant radar design and development efforts.
- Recognized subject matter expertise in advanced radar technologies and sensor applications.
- Deep understanding of advanced antenna technologies and their application within modern radar and surveillance systems.
- Experience developing technical strategies and leading complex initiatives supporting broader organizational and business objectives.
- Able to operate effectively with executive leadership while remaining deeply credible with highly technical engineering organizations.
- Strong executive-level communication, presentation, and customer engagement capabilities.
- Experience influencing R&D priorities, technology investments, product strategies, and/or major technical pursuits.
- Able to develop relationships and technical credibility with senior defense and government stakeholders.
- MBA or other advanced business education is considered beneficial but is not required.
- Able to travel up to approximately 50%.
