About the role

The Chief Technologist, Advanced Antenna Development at Saab Inc. is responsible for developing and executing a vision and strategy to advance Saab’s Antenna technology development across the U.S. business. Reporting to the head of the division, this role will collaborate with senior leadership to define technological priorities and investment strategies, and will partner with engineering leadership to drive the division’s R&D efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a vision and strategy to advance Saab’s Antenna technology development across the U.S. business.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership to define technological priorities and investment strategies.
  • Support the design, development, and deployment of innovative radar technologies and key pursuits.
  • Develop complex radar and antenna product applications and drive lifecycle product management throughout the organization.
  • Partner with Engineering Leadership to drive the division’s R&D efforts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
  • Maintain a strong executive level network, reputation, and customer access across the radar market.
  • Establish and maintain the technical thought leadership of the company in the relevant market community and stakeholder base.
  • Mentor and develop technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 20+ years of progressive technology leadership experience with proven record of success in leading large-scale radar design efforts.
  • Advanced Technical Subject Matter Expertise in advanced radar technologies for all sensor applications.
  • Ability to contribute to the development strategy and lead strategic initiatives in support of functional and business objectives.
  • Executive level communication and presentation experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% in support of program and business development efforts.
  • U.S. DoD Top Secret level clearance.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Skills

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • MBA or additional business qualifications a plus.

Pay

Compensation Range: $239,600 - $323,400
