Job Summary
The position is for a Chief Psychiatrist at Central California Women's Facility in Chowchilla, CA.
About the Role
Under the general direction of the Chief Executive Officer and with close consultation of the Statewide Chief Psychiatrist, the Chief Psychiatrist develops, oversees, and directs the quality and operations of Physician Services within psychiatry for the psychiatric treatment of individuals housed at Central California Women's Facility.
Responsibilities
- Develops, oversees, and directs the quality and operations of Physician Services within psychiatry for the psychiatric treatment of individuals housed at Central California Women's Facility.
- Collaborates with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and effective mental health services.
- Oversees the implementation and evaluation of new psychiatric treatment protocols and programs.
- Provides clinical supervision and mentorship to staff psychiatrists and psychologists.
- Maintains compliance with state and federal regulations regarding mental health care delivery.
Requirements
- Doctorate in Psychiatry or related field.
- Board certification in Psychiatry.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience working in a correctional setting preferred.
Qualifications
- Must be licensed to practice medicine in the State of California.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
