About the role

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is the operational, commercial, and systems spine of Boldr. They translate the CEO's vision into day-to-day delivery across five geographies, the critical support functions, and a workforce of 1,000+. They work in close partnership with the CEO, CFO, and CRO, turning commercial ambition into operating reality, and ensuring the systems, technology, and financial discipline are in place to deliver it.

This is not a coordination role. It is an ownership role. The COO holds direct ownership of Boldr's operating infrastructure and a defined share of its financial performance. They own the systems that run the business, set the operating tempo, and ensure every function is pulling in the same direction, at pace, without drifting from mission.

Why we want you

We are scaling a mission-driven business in a demanding industry and we need a leader who has done this before. Someone who has built operational infrastructure that doesn't break under growth, who understands the commercial levers without losing sight of purpose, and who can lead senior leaders across cultures, time zones, and geographies.

You bring more than operational expertise. You bring the kind of judgement and breadth that makes organisations more resilient, more legible, and more capable of delivering on ambitious commitments.

What will you do

  • Decision-making and operating cadence: Own how decisions get made at Boldr; build the operating cadence that keeps every function aligned; identify growth opportunities that align with Boldr's mission, margin, and systems capacity.
  • Systems, technology, and data: Own Boldr's operating technology stack; drive automation and responsible AI adoption across the operation to lift productivity, quality, and margin; ensure systems readiness is a precondition for scale.
  • Financial ownership and stewardship: Hold direct ownership of the operating P&L and budget; partner with the CFO on company-level planning, capital allocation, and reporting; treat financial discipline as a standard, not a constraint.
  • Client delivery excellence: Ensure client NPS, retention, and service metrics are managed proactively; drive the continuous improvement of Boldr's CX practice as a competitive differentiator.
  • Operational scaling across geographies: Build and maintain the operating infrastructure that supports growth without breaking culture or quality; identify and resolve structural constraints before they become crises.
  • Leadership, culture, and talent: Lead a high-performing senior team; model Boldr's values in how you operate; lead change well.
  • Governance and reporting: Represent operations at executive level when required; maintain the integrity of Boldr's B-Corp certification in how operations are structured and run.

What we'll like about you

  • A builder who has scaled complex, multi-geo operations and a systems thinker who knows which technology investments hold and which break.
  • Commercially sharp, you understand revenue and financial mechanics, not just operational delivery.
  • A leader people trust: clear, direct, fair, and present.
  • Mission-aligned, you see Boldr's B-Corp identity not as a constraint to manage, but a reason you are here.
  • Broad enough to hold the whole business: commercial, finance, systems, delivery, people, governance.
  • High EQ. You lead through influence and get results through other people, not through title or pressure.
  • 12+ years of senior executive leadership, including direct accountability for financial performance and operating systems.
  • Proven experience leading multi-geo operations across different cultures and jurisdictions, ideally including emerging markets.
  • Direct P&L or budget ownership at meaningful scale in a services, tech-enabled services, or high-growth environment.
  • Track record of selecting, implementing, and scaling core operating systems (HRIS, ERP, workforce, or operations platforms) and getting them adopted.
  • Strong financial acumen, you can read a balance sheet, challenge assumptions, and translate numbers into decisions.
  • Fluency with data, automation, and AI as levers for productivity and margin.
  • Experience working in close partnership with a CEO, CFO and commercial leadership (CRO or equivalent).
  • Experience operating within a mission-driven, B-Corp, or ESG-aligned organisation (preferred).
  • A reputation for delivery: results are not a side effect of your strategy, they are the point.
