Chief of Urology - BMC Brighton

About the role

The Department of Surgery, Division of Urology at Boston Medical Center – Brighton is seeking a full-time Board-Certified fellowship-trained physician as Chief of Urology. The urologist will oversee the hospital’s urology providers and manage clinical practice and hospital consultations.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients with kidney, adrenal gland, bladder, and reproductive organ issues.
• Oversight of hospital’s urology providers.
• Office practice and hospital consultations.
• Provide medical treatment techniques for male and female genitourinary organs.
• Engage at all organizational levels to promote patient safety and performance improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Board Certified and Fellowship trained in Urology.
• Massachusetts Licensed.
• At least five (5) years of Urology experience with demonstrated leadership and administrative experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A strong commitment to collegial and evidence-based practice, patient care, resident and medical student education.

Qualifications

• Prioritize social responsibility, respect, dignity, sensitivity, advocacy, and community service.

Skills

• Compassionate and sympathetic towards patients.

Pay

The base salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to clinical FTE, qualifications, experience, education, board certifications, specialty, training, and scope of practice.

Schedule

The position involves every other weekend, rotating shifts.
