About the role
The Chief of Staff I position at IDEA Public Schools provides leadership and oversight for the organization's day-to-day functions and staff. This role serves as a strategic advisor, gatekeeper, and analytical partner to develop strategies that align with the organization's goals and mission.
Responsibilities
- Acts as a strategic thought partner and confidant to the respective Chief Officer's area of work.
- Coordinates and interacts with senior leaders and external partners on strategic, operational, and organizational matters.
- Directs activities of the organization to plan procedures, establish responsibilities, and coordinate functions among departments and sites.
- Prepares and/or contributes to the preparation of reports, proposals, briefings, presentations, and responses on institutional and strategic issues.
- Supports the seamless functioning and management of priorities and special projects.
- Ants to anticipate problems and navigate cross-functionally and across geographies.
Requirements
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience in education, human capital management, organizational administration, development, information technology, finance & accounting, or a combination of these fields. A minimum of 10 years of experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in strategy, analysis, project management, and interacting with senior leaders.
- Elevated level of proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Unilateral leadership skills.
- Proven experience translating data and metrics to action.
- Demonstrable experience managing high-profile projects.
- Robust written and verbal communication portfolio.
- Preferred: Demonstrated emotional intelligence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience or a combination of 8 years of experience in relevant fields.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience or a combination of 10 years of experience in relevant fields preferred.
