Chief of Staff

About the role

Stellios Technologies is building advanced high power microwave and energy systems for defense, aerospace, and energy. We are hiring an exceptional Chief of Staff, Founder Operations to work directly with the founder across recruiting, legal and compliance, facilities, procurement, communications, scheduling, and special projects. The mandate is simple: take operational tasks off the founder’s plate and deliver results. This role can grow into significant operating leadership as Stellios scales.

Location

Los Angeles, Albuquerque, Austin; full time and primarily in person. Remote start may be possible.

Key Requirements

• Extreme ownership, attention to detail, and exceptionally high agency
• AI native; your first instinct is to use AI to find answers and move quickly
• Comfortable personally executing both strategic projects and mundane operational tasks
• Experience supporting technical founders, ideally with ambitions to become a founder yourself
• Strong ability to coordinate external legal, accounting, recruiting, HR, web, PR, and vendor teams
• Deep tech or defense startup experience is strongly preferred; military leadership plus startup experience is also relevant
• Passion for space, defense, propulsion, and American technological progress
• Must qualify as a U.S. person under applicable export control laws
