Job Summary

The Chief of Staff will support Jaleh, the CEO, by providing operational support, problem-solving, and people programs. This role will also assist with board, investor, and finance matters.

About the Role

Jaleh leads Mutiny, a self-improving AI infrastructure designed for GTM teams to execute faster and close more revenue. The company is backed by leading investors and is experiencing rapid growth with a strong focus on culture and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and orchestrate an AI assistant to run Jaleh's day-to-day tasks, including drafting and triaging email, preparing meeting materials, planning events, and automating recurring tasks.
  • Own Jaleh's calendar, review prep documents, track commitments and follow-ups, and coordinate travel and logistics.
  • Divide and conquer the company's most pressing problems, from setting pricing to finding the right lawyer to opening a new office.
  • Own attracting great people, onboarding them, and creating moments that bond the team.
  • Prepare board materials and investor updates, and partner closely on finance, overseeing the accounting team and monthly closes until a head of finance is hired.

Requirements

  • AI-pilled: Build workflows with AI instinctively and use technology to drive productivity.
  • Sharp writer: Write clear, concise emails and messages without spelling or grammar errors, and mimic Jaleh's writing style.
  • Problem solver: Tackle a wide range of problems creatively, break them down with little direction, and find new ways to get things done.
  • Simplifier: Separate signal from noise, understand what matters, and have excellent judgment.
  • Operationally minded: Be detail-oriented, extremely organized, and thrive in the velocity and chaos of a startup.
  • Culture creator: Be a natural host, bring people together, and create moments that bond a team.
  • Confident: Give and receive feedback easily, stay calm under pressure, and voice opinions and push back when necessary.
  • Servant leader: Live in service of others, take out the trash if needed, and provide operational support.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years at a startup or in consulting.
  • Pace and ambiguity: Familiar with the pace and ambiguity of startups.
