About The Team

We're a world-class team hailing from all over the globe with the vast majority of the company in engineering roles. We are looking to further solidify our presence in NYC to be at the heart of the financial services ecosystem. Our team is relentlessly focused on building for our customers and every member of the financial services ecosystem. We take our work seriously and have fun while doing it. Both are equally important.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Work directly with Rory (CEO) & Kieran (CTO) - to get done whatever needs to get done. You will be asked to execute projects ranging from "ensuring there are always snacks in the office" to "managing Knot's board of directors."
  • Join the CEO in meetings, calls, and at events, as well as in some cases attend in his stead.
  • Extend the CEO's reach, impact, and clarity of communication throughout the company.
  • Coordinate and follow up with key individuals on the CEO's behalf (e.g. employees, customers, investors, and candidates) via email, calendar, and Slack.
  • Arrange in-office events in Knot's beautiful 4,000 sq. ft. NYC office (Flatiron).
  • Coordinate CEO's attendance at conferences and events in NYC and across the country.
  • Create deliverables for important lines of communication and projects, both internal to the company and externally (e.g. decks, write-ups, research, etc.)
  • Lead on day to day operational finance (taxes, expenses, payroll etc) as well as playing a key role in strategic finance projects (fundraising for example)
  • Lead key projects that may otherwise not have a clear home in the company

What You'll Need To Get The Job Done

  • Experienced in a Chief of Staff role within a high growth, startup technology environment. Alternatively, you'll have held another strategic/operational role with similar responsibilities (we've seen good success with people moving from Private Equity / Venture Capital / Investment Banking analyst roles for example)
  • Get it done approach - you must be the person who knocks down walls to get things done.
  • Proactive & adaptive - own and drive whatever task you have set.
  • Thrive in ambiguity - and are able to deliver exceptional results whilst not always having a clearly defined path to success
  • No egos - you might be leading a strategic meeting with investors, or making sure the office kitchen is stocked. Either way you own that task.
  • You have the gravitas to play a key role in strategic meetings with investors, customers, board members etc

What We Offer

  • Interesting and challenging work
  • Competitive base salary + up to 20% annual bonus + generous early employee equity
  • 100% medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage for you and your dependents (U.S.)
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Parental leave
  • Beautiful NYC office in the heart of Flatiron
  • Herman Miller Aeron Desk Chair
  • Food (snacks, frequent lunches, and often dinner for those working late)
