About the role

This role is the right hand to the General Manager, Pacific and a core member of the U.S. expansion team. You’ll start as a hands-on builder—opening doors, closing deals, and shaping our go-to-market motion—and evolve into a leader, hiring and developing the team that will scale the region. Roles like this are rare: you’ll have the autonomy of a founder, the backing of a global company, and the opportunity to shape how an entire region—and eventually the U.S.—grows.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Execution & Growth
    • Grow the California territory: Build Innovamat’s presence across the region by identifying priority districts, shaping a focused territory strategy, and creating strong momentum in the market.
    • Lead consultative conversations: Engage district leaders in meaningful discussions about their math challenges and introduce Innovamat’s research-backed approach.
    • Refined the go-to-market motion: Identify patterns, improve messaging, and help build the playbook for scaling district partnerships across new regions.
    • Generate pipeline through strategic outreach, networking, conferences, and strong presence in the education ecosystem.
    • Own end-to-end execution of key initiatives: plan, launch, analyze, iterate, scale.
    • Support growth efforts across districts, pilots, and expansion initiatives.
    • Get hands-on across teams to deeply understand how the business operates.
  • Build Systems That Scale
    • Turn what works into repeatable playbooks, processes, and tools.
    • Help move the team from founder-led hustle to sustainable, scalable execution.
    • Identify gaps, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies— and fix them.
  • Strategic & Special Projects
    • Lead cross-functional projects that don’t have a clear owner but are critical to growth.
    • Support new market entry efforts, process builds, and operational improvements.
    • Step into ambiguous problems and bring clarity, structure, and momentum.
  • Partner with Leadership
    • Work closely with the General Manager and leadership team on priorities and execution.
    • Sense what’s happening in the field and surface insights that inform strategy.
    • Ensure the most important work gets done—proactively!
  • Alignment & Communication
    • Cook up clear reporting and tracking systems for internal stakeholders.
    • Help ensure alignment between strategy, execution, and impact.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years experience in consulting, ops/strategy, or another fast paced environment where ownership and results matter (e.g. investment banking, consulting, private equity, tech or early-stage startups).
  • Strong individual contributor who enjoys being hands-on.
  • Exceptional execution skills— you get things done.
  • Clear, confident communicator (written and verbal).
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced environments.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and high ownership mentality.
  • Genuine interest in education, impact, and building something meaningful.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in edtech, education, or mission-driven organizations.
  • Exposure to senior leadership or founder-led environments.
  • Comfort working with public sector or school districts.
