About the role
This is our first hire: a chance to sit at the center of the business, work shoulder-to-shoulder with the founders, and help build the operating platform for "Doctor Inc." This is an in-person role at our Flatiron, NY office.
Responsibilities
Own Physician Relationships: You are the primary point of contact for a portfolio of elite doctors. Prepare and run check-ins, maintain rich profiles of each physician's goals, constraints, and preferences, follow up crisply after every meeting, and keep momentum alive between touchpoints. Your job is to make every doctor feel known, supported, and professionally managed.
Shape Physician Positioning & Content: Help turn a doctor's expertise into marketable themes. Draft LinkedIn posts and thought leadership, maintain positioning docs by physician, and track which content actually drives inbound — all while protecting the premium, credible feel of each doctor's professional brand.
Build and Run the Opportunity Pipeline: Be the system of record. Log every inbound and outbound opportunity and maintain doctor-by-doctor opportunity boards. Surface what's stale, flag what's high-priority, and prepare sharp weekly pipeline reviews for the founder.
Drive Opportunity Execution: Move deals forward. Draft partner replies and doctor updates, schedule and prep calls, chase down missing information, and push opportunities through their next steps. while coordinating clean handoffs on contracts, invoices, and AR with our internal and fractional support.
Bring Lightweight Operating Rigor: Keep the engine clean. Make sure contracts, invoices, payments, and reporting are routed correctly, maintain tidy workflows and documentation, and build the repeatable templates and playbooks that lets CapitalMD scale our concierge service to serve 100+ physicians.

Qualifications
Background: Entrepreneurial Generalist (on a startup C-Suite or founder path)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
4-6 years of experience, with a strong academic background preferred
Experience in consulting, finance, startup operations, healthtech, fintech, marketplaces, the creator economy, partnerships, or business operations
Healthcare interest or background is a plus, but not required if you bring strong physician empathy and judgment
Natively AI with experience designing and managing agent-first systems with Claude code, codex, or similar tools
