About the role

Nemours Children’s Health is seeking a Chief of Pediatric Rheumatology in Jacksonville, Florida. The Chief will lead strategic planning, faculty development, and ensure high-quality, patient- and family-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic direction, growth, and operational oversight of the Pediatric Rheumatology Division
  • Recruit, mentor and evaluate physicians and advanced practice providers
  • Participate in departmental leadership meetings and hospital initiatives
  • Develop and implement policies, clinical pathways and performance improvement plans
  • Provide expert diagnosis and management of pediatric patients with rheumatic diseases
  • Oversee inpatient and outpatient rheumatology services
  • Foster multidisciplinary collaboration with other pediatric subspecialists, nursing, rehabilitation and social services

Qualifications

  • MD or DO
  • Board certified in specialty
  • Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical license and DEA
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
