Chief of Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery Division, Associate or Full Professor of Ob/Gyn Clinician Educator

About the role

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. This role will also serve as Chief of Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery Division.

Responsibilities

• Expertise is required in the specific area of minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS).
• Candidates must be board certified and trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology and have formal fellowship training in MIGS.
• Teaching responsibilities may include training and supervision of Ob/Gyn residents and medical students with plans to start a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery.
• Interest in educational leadership is highly desirable.
• Faculty appointment is available at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
• Clinical responsibilities may include gynecologic care and minimally invasive surgery.
• Research or scholarship responsibilities may include basic, translational, clinical and/or health policy research.

Requirements

• An M.D. or equivalent degree.
• Rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in education and leadership.
• Nationally known for surgical expertise, research, education and innovation.
• Experience in multiple surgical modalities such as laparoscopy, robotics, and operative hysteroscopy.
• Established research program and outstanding record of publications.
• Devoted faculty and close collaboration with colleagues within the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
