Responsibilities
- Hire, train, supervise, motivate, counsel and recognize the maintenance staff at each hotel.
- Oversee daily operations, sustainability programs, inventory, ordering, and scheduling all within a set department budget at each hotel.
- Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance in all areas of the hotels and inspect work completed by others to ensure quality and standards are met.
- Troubleshoot various technical devices such as key card systems, internet equipment, television equipment, etc.
- Oversee safety programs and key control at each hotel.
- Greet and assist guests with all requests.
- Proactively garner relationships with long term and repeat guests to develop loyalty and maintain a high level of satisfaction.
- Support the goals of each hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of progressive facilities management experience in a hotel or a related field; or a 2-year college degree and 1 year of related management experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Required HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations and general maintenance skills.

- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
- Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
