About the role

Step into a leadership role that goes beyond a job—it's an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the nursing success of our cutting-edge Behavioral Healthcare Hospital. As the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), you will lead the nursing department, directing all services provided by the Nursing Services Department. You will ensure the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, programs, and services consistent with the facility's goals and objectives. This position actively participates in a leadership role by consulting with facility management to design and provide total patient care and services.

  • Direct the provision of 24-hour nursing services for the facility.
  • Develop, implement, and revise corporate, facility, and Nursing Services policies and procedures within the guidelines of the Medical Staff Bylaws and facility regulations, considering recommendations from the CEO, Medical Director, Director of Clinical Services, and nursing staff.
  • Review the progress, quality, and effectiveness of all nursing programs.
  • Establish methods for evaluating nursing care practices, formulate plans for new programs and changes to existing programs, and initiate/utilize studies and research applicable to nursing services development.
  • Consult with the CEO on the development of long- and short-term facility projects, goals, and objectives of Nursing Services.
  • Establish nursing committees as needed for quality and patient care.
  • Strategically solve problems encompassing the larger view of the organization and establish goals by utilizing an understanding of organizational dynamics in planning and problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in psychiatric nursing or related field required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in nursing administration and/or dedicated leadership experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington.
  • Thorough knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, and OSHA regulations and all other state and federal regulatory standards.

Pay

This is a full-time role with an expected compensation range of $150,000 - $170,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skill level.
