About the role
The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) at Select Specialty Hospital Critical Illness Recovery Hospital (LTACH) is responsible for leading the clinical team, collaborating with the CEO and HR leader, and enhancing both the patient and employee experience.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with CEO and HR leader to solve problems and improve the patient and employee experience.
- Lead the clinical team and work with respiratory and rehabilitation departments.
- Resolve staffing ratios and work with senior nursing staff to improve the quality of care.
- Engage with regional leaders on staffing initiatives, including leading educational programs for new graduates and re-entry nurses.
- Show fiscal responsibility by ensuring budgets are met and costs are controlled within the hospital.
- Treat employees as they would like to be treated and foster a supportive and engaging workplace culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Masters in Healthcare or equivalent Masters in Healthcare or enrollment in a Master's program required.
- Three to five years of hospital nursing experience required.
- Three or more years' experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity preferred.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required within six months of hire.
Qualifications
- Experience with ventilators, hemodynamics, critical drips, endotracheal tubes, and wounds is preferred.
