Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)

About the role

The Chief Nursing Officer at Select Specialty Hospital - Nashville West Critical Illness Recovery Hospital is responsible for leading the clinical team, resolving staffing ratios, and enhancing the patient and employee experience. This role requires collaboration with the CEO, HR leader, and regional leaders on staffing initiatives and educational programs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with CEO and HR leader to address challenges and improve patient and employee experiences.
• Lead the clinical team, including respiratory and rehabilitation departments.
• Engage with regional leaders on staffing initiatives, focusing on educational programs for new graduates and re-entry nurses.
• Treat others with respect and foster a supportive, engaging workplace culture.
• Ensure fiscal responsibility by managing budgets and controlling costs within the hospital.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Masters in Healthcare or equivalent, with enrollment in a Master's program, required.
• Three to five years of hospital nursing experience required.
• Three or more years' experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Experience with ventilators, hemodynamics, critical drips, endotracheal tubes, and wound management is preferred.
