About the Role
As the Chief Nursing Officer, you will lead nursing operations, ensuring high standards of care, compliance, and innovation. Your role includes developing strategic nursing plans, driving performance improvement, recruiting and mentoring top nursing talent, managing budgets and resources, and serving as a key liaison between nursing, medical staff, and leadership. You will promote a culture of clinical excellence and represent the organization in professional and community health initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee nursing operations aligned with policies and standards
- Implement strategies to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency
- Lead performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives
- Recruit, develop, and retain nursing staff
- Manage budgets, staffing, and resources
- Collaborate with medical staff and leadership
- Represent the organization in professional and community health activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's preferred
- Registered Nurse license required
- At least three years of clinical leadership and/or psychiatric/mental health experience
- Certifications such as Nurse Executive Board Certified (NC-BC), CENP, or PMH-BC preferred
- CPR and de-escalation certifications required within 30 days of employment
