Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Gossett Motor Cars

About the Role

The Chief Financial Officer reports directly to the Owner / Dealer Principal and is responsible for directing the financial activities of the organization, either directly or through subordinate managers and accounting personnel.

Responsibilities

• Financial Leadership and Strategy
  • Serve as a business partner to the leadership team.
  • Deliver clear insights into financial performance, trends, and improvement opportunities to the executive team.
• Accounting, Close & Controls
  • Standardize and ensure all accounting policies are followed.
  • Implement proper internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain the accuracy of financial information.
  • Design and operate a fast, accurate monthly close with disciplined controls and auditable processes.
  • Oversee compliance with applicable regulations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
• Treasury, Tax and Insurance
  • Own Treasury and Cash management and optimize working capital.
  • Manage staff and coordinate Sales tax, Business and Franchise & Excise payments and returns.
  • Oversee insurance (business and health) analysis and annual renewal.

Requirements

• Experience with multi-site financial management is required.
• Experience with DMS Reynolds & Reynolds ERA Ignite is highly preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a hands-on environment where strategic thinking and execution go together.
• Expert financial modeler with advanced Excel skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance.
• CPA and / or MBA preferred.
• 10 or more years of related experience.
