Chief Financial and Operations Officer

About the role

The CFOO will lead the financial and operational aspects of Northfield Mount Hermon School, ensuring alignment with the school's mission and strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the business office, including accounting, finance, and investments.
• Manage the dining services, facilities and grounds, human resources, safety, technology, and the NMH farm.
• Provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of the school’s financial resources and physical assets.
• Promote best practices in finance and administration.
• Serve as the staff liaison on several board committees, including Finance, Investment, Buildings and Grounds, Audit and Risk, and others as prescribed by the Head of School.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in finance and operations management.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, oversee financial reporting, and implement financial policies.
• Experience leading teams and managing complex projects.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
• A master’s degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
• CPA certification is preferred but not required.

Benefits

• Competitive salary range of $285,000 - $330,000.
