About the role
The CFOO will lead the financial and operational aspects of Northfield Mount Hermon School, ensuring alignment with the school's mission and strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the business office, including accounting, finance, and investments.
- Manage the dining services, facilities and grounds, human resources, safety, technology, and the NMH farm.
- Provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of the school’s financial resources and physical assets.
- Promote best practices in finance and administration.
- Serve as the staff liaison on several board committees, including Finance, Investment, Buildings and Grounds, Audit and Risk, and others as prescribed by the Head of School.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in finance and operations management.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, oversee financial reporting, and implement financial policies.
- Experience leading teams and managing complex projects.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- A master’s degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
- CPA certification is preferred but not required.
