Chief Executive Officer: Zachary
Position Summary
The Chief Executive Officer serves as the top executive of the credit union, accountable to the Board of Directors for the overall management, strategic direction, financial health, regulatory compliance and day-to-day operations of the organization. The CEO champions the cooperative principles of the credit union movement and ensures the institution delivers exceptional value to its members while maintaining safety and soundness.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the annual business plan and long-range strategic plan in partnership with the Board of Directors
Manage the credit union’s financial statements, loan portfolio, and investments to maintain profitability, adequate capital reserves, and liquidity
Create, monitor and report financial performance against budget, presenting results to the Board
Oversee daily operations including member services, lending, and technology
Ensure full compliance with NCUA regulations, applicable federal and state laws, and internal policies
Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes and implement necessary policy or procedural adjustments
Serve as the primary ambassador of the credit union, building and maintaining relationships with members, trade associations, local businesses, and community organizations
Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team, establishing a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and member-first service
Identify opportunities for growth and new product offerings
Partner effectively with the Board of Directors, providing transparent reporting, policy recommendations, and strategic counsel
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field required;
Minimum 5 years leadership experience in a credit union or community financial institution
Strong working knowledge of NCUA regulations, GAAP, and credit union lending practices
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, analyze financial statements, and drive revenue growth
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and community engagement skills
Experience managing teams of 5–20 employees preferred
FiServ Portico software experience a plus
