What began as a single-facility machine shop has grown into a two-location, multi-market precision manufacturer with a customer-first culture serving demanding programs in national defense and leading names in commercial industry. The company employs 110 people across two locations, generating $32 million in annual revenue. It holds over 800 Level 1 contracts in Aerospace & Defense and maintains relationships with the top four elevator industry OEMs and transportation OEMs.
Responsibilities
- Assume total ownership and commitment to corporate safety, financial performance, customer relationships, partnerships, and manufacturing outcomes across over 200,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing and office space on multiple campuses.
- Champion a culture of kaizen and lean manufacturing, controlling enterprise resources and production strategies to ensure efficient and effective utilization of materials, equipment, and labor.
- Perpetuate and enhance an environment that promotes daily employee development and ensures succession from within.
- Provide executive direction for partnerships, including a $40M joint venture delivering complete elevator systems and a mature office of government contracting.
- Collaborate with the Chair and corporate boards on key financial decisions, product direction, corporate culture, vision, values, and executive assignments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering (MBA preferred).
- Manufacturing experience with a strong background in Metal Fabrication, Machining, Welding, and Assembly.
- Engineering and Quality “best practice” expertise.
- Experience leading Aerospace and Defense contract manufacturing.
- Proven track record in developing people and building bench strength.
- 10+ years of experience in a senior leadership role, with preference for candidates who have owned Profit & Loss and Sales results.
- Demonstrated ability to drive change through influence and collaboration in a team environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills, with a collaborative style effective for internal and external relations.
This position reports to the Chair of the Board.
