Chief Engineer
Responsibilities
- Oversight of all engineering operations, including building maintenance, mechanical systems, and energy management.
- Leadership of a team of maintenance professionals, ensuring proper training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, brand standards, and White Lodging policies.
- Management of department budgets, cost controls, and capital expenditure projects.
- Response to emergency maintenance issues and coordination with other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in engineering, facilities management, or maintenance, preferably in hospitality.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Budget management and cost-control experience.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to train and lead a team.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and hotel operating systems.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
