Chief Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversight of all engineering operations, including building maintenance, mechanical systems, and energy management.
• Leadership of a team of maintenance professionals, ensuring proper training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, brand standards, and White Lodging policies.
• Management of department budgets, cost controls, and capital expenditure projects.
• Response to emergency maintenance issues and coordination with other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in engineering, facilities management, or maintenance, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Budget management and cost-control experience.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to train and lead a team.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and hotel operating systems.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
