About the role
InPwr, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Chief Electrical Estimator to lead our dynamic estimating department. Based in Indianapolis, IN, Denver, CO, or Charlotte, NC, this position does not offer remote work.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing supervision and accountability for the Stop Gate estimating processes.
- Enforce InPwr Inc. policies and procedures specific to Human Resources guidelines.
- Continually assess estimating personnel as it applies to individual's job qualifications, performance, and compensation evaluations.
- Promote and reinforce InPwr core values to all personnel.
- Collaborate with Business Development personnel, project managers, and/or designated account managers and preconstruction support to strategize new bid opportunities.
- Lead and organize new bid estimate strategy planning sessions.
- Implement and maintain quality control of the Stop Gate 1 process.
- Assign estimating tasks based on the experience and aptitude of personnel.
- Develop and monitor preliminary and final InPwr scope price proposals.
- Supervise all customer bid documentation, including RFP, construction drawings, specifications, and supplemental vendor documentation.
- Supervise all InPwr subcontractor and vendor quotations and preliminary submittals supporting the bid proposal process.
- Supervise all requirements specific to the Authority Having Jurisdiction, local utility company requirements, state and local requirements superseding or supplemental to NEC requirements.
- Ongoing and final review and analysis of all estimates and project deliverables.
- Provide oversight and or perform control takeoff estimates and change order budget pricing as requested from and in coordination with project managers.
- Weekly update of bid tracking documentation for estimating purposes.
- Weekly updating of senior leadership to current bid project status.
- Weekly updating information for the global Confidential List.
Qualifications & Competencies
- At least 10 years of electrical industry estimating experience.
- Possess at minimum a Master's electrical license.

Construction Document & Review Process
- Review bid proposal documents for follow-up RFI and general questions.
- Negotiate with vendor partners, including manufacturers, distributors, and subcontractors.
- Communicate and execute strategies regarding bid proposal follow-up efforts and bid results.

Employment Details
