About the role

InPwr, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Chief Electrical Estimator to lead our dynamic estimating department. Based in Indianapolis, IN, Denver, CO, or Charlotte, NC, this role requires strong leadership and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and enforce InPwr Inc. policies and procedures related to human resources.
  • Assess and evaluate estimating personnel for job qualifications, performance, and compensation.
  • Promote and reinforce InPwr core values within the estimating department.
  • Collaborate with Business Development, project managers, and account managers to strategize new bid opportunities.
  • Lead and organize new bid estimate strategy planning sessions.
  • Implement and maintain quality control of the estimating process.
  • Assign estimating tasks based on personnel experience and aptitude.
  • Develop and monitor preliminary and final scope price proposals.
  • Supervise all customer bid documentation, including RFPs, construction drawings, specifications, and vendor documentation.
  • Supervise all subcontractor and vendor quotations and preliminary submittals supporting the bid proposal process.
  • Ensure compliance with Authority Having Jurisdiction, local utility company, and state/local requirements.
  • Ongoing and final review and analysis of all estimates and project deliverables.
  • Oversee takeoff estimates and change order budget pricing as requested.
  • Weekly update bid tracking documentation and report project status to senior leadership.
  • Weekly update the global Confidential List.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • At least 10 years of electrical industry estimating experience.
  • A minimum of a Master's electrical license.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with customers regarding bid processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code and electrical theory.
  • Proficiency in reading construction drawings, specifications, and electrical submittals.
  • Expertise in design and engineering concepts, including diagrammatic one lines, load calculations, feeder and branch circuit analysis.

Schedule

This is not a remote position. The Chief Electrical Estimator will be based in Indianapolis, IN, Denver, CO, or Charlotte, NC.

Pay

$20,000 sign-on bonus and a competitive relocation package is available for candidates open to relocating to Indianapolis, Indiana, Denver, Colorado, or Charlotte, North Carolina.
