Chief Estimator - Electrical Construction

About the role

We are seeking a strategic, high-impact leader to oversee our preconstruction and estimating function. This is more than a Chief Estimator role — it is an opportunity to influence how we pursue work, build teams, protect margins, and support long-term company growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead ELCCO’s estimating and preconstruction function
• Drive bid strategy, pricing quality, and backlog discipline
• Partner closely with Operations, Project Management, and Business Development
• Develop estimating standards, tools, and scalable processes
• Mentor and develop estimators and preconstruction staff
• Provide leadership insight into market trends, risk, and opportunity selection
• Improve estimating systems, cost databases, and operational alignment

Requirements

• Deep experience in electrical estimating and preconstruction
• Trusted partner with General Contractors and facility clients
• Proven leadership and team development capability
• Strong judgment in pricing, risk, and prioritization
• Able to build systems — not just produce estimates
• Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills
• Strategic mindset with strong business acumen
