Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Reports monthly to the division board on the credit quality of the overall portfolio.
- Attends Executive Loan Committee as a voting member and represents Division in GBCI projects and subcommittees as requested.
- Interprets and provides written analysis of credit-related reports provided to the business lending staff.
- Manages direct reports to maximize productivity, efficiency, and the potential of the human assets of the company, including: hiring, directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies and work rules. Appraise performance and provide recommendations for staff compensation, promotion, and termination, as appropriate.
- Maintains a strong credit culture within the commercial and retail lending operations.
- Collaborates with loan officers and credit analysis staff on the company’s overall lending policy, noting significant trends and recommending policy changes if necessary.
- Assembles information and reports pursuant to regulatory exams and outside audits.

- Coordinates the company’s credit underwriting and delinquency follow up.
- Participates in or actively leads special projects pertaining to credit administration or other company-wide initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of ten years of experience would generally be required, including time spent in preparatory positions.
- A college degree in finance, accounting, or business. Graduate studies in business, finance, or banking preferred.
- The ability to motivate or influence internal or external senior level professionals is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust.
