About the Role
Safeguards portfolio quality across the organization. Leads Credit Analysts and Commercial Banking Associates in underwriting quality and workflow execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead Credit Analysts and Commercial Banking Associates in underwriting quality and workflow execution
- Review complex credit memos, loan write-ups, renewals, and relationship exposures
- Provide elevated credit approval authority within assigned lending limits
- Support lenders with loan structure, covenant strategy, and borrower risk assessment
- Monitor portfolio quality trends, criticized assets, and past due relationships
- Partner with the Chief Credit Officer on policy interpretation, exceptions, and risk trends
- Participate in customer calls with Loan Officers on larger or more complex relationships
- Coach and mentor emerging credit talent and strengthen succession within Credit Administration
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or management
- CPA, MBA, or advanced banking school completion preferred
- 7+ years of commercial credit, underwriting, or credit administration experience
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of lending regulations, policy governance, and loan review standards
- Advanced ability to analyze and interpret financial statements and borrower trends
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and credit administration software
