About the Role

Leads the development of a strategic, dynamic communications and marketing organization that will advance quality of patient care and satisfaction, research, and teaching by providing integral, forward-thinking support for the advancement of the overall mission and goals of the UNC Health care system.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and leads the UNC Health Communications and Marketing division.
  • Leads press, events, digital strategy, marketing, and all public affairs.
  • Manages critical communications and leads high-profile communications issues impacting the organization and the healthcare industry.
  • Serves as a key advisor to the UNC Health CEO in communications management and strategy.
  • Leading People: Leads people toward meeting the organization's vision, mission, and goals. Provides an inclusive workplace that fosters the development of others, facilitates cooperation and teamwork, and supports constructive resolution of conflicts. Encourages workforce engagement by building a commitment to excellence and by promoting the organization's vision internally and externally. Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree required.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience, with at least twelve (12) years of management experience.

Job Details

Full-time, onsite position located in Chapel Hill, NC. Standard hours: 40 hours per week, exempt from overtime.
